Sytral awards Clemessy and Eiffage Énergie the electrical works contract for the Lyon Bus Operations and Maintenance Centre

The Rhône Area and Greater Lyon Public Transport Authority (SYTRAL) has chosen Clemessy Lyon and the Rhône agency of Eiffage Énergie to carry out the electrical work package (power & lighting and communications) for the Bus Operations and Maintenance Centre, based in Perrache in the Confluence district of Lyon.

In order to supply electricity to the entire site, our employees will have to install a 1250kVA transformer substation (20 kV / 400 V) connected to a main low-voltage switchboard supplying lighting equipment, socket outlets and the motive power through a dozen divisional electrical cabinets.
They will also have to put into service a Main Safety Distribution Board connected to numerous safety equipment, including a fire alarm centre, a sprinkler system (including automatic water extinguisher devices), a booster, wastewater and lift pumps, as well as seven smoke extractors and access doors to the buses.

Our employees will also install an 80 kVA inverter, while ensuring the continuity of service of backed-up equipment, and will run about 6 km of cable trays for power & lighting and communications cables. A total of 2,122 lighting fixtures will be installed.

In order to protect it against any risk of fire, the Centre will be protected by 57 linear smoke detectors and 177 conventional detectors. The safety of the site will rely on an anti-intrusion alarm, various access controls, an intercom system and video surveillance with about thirty cameras.
Furthermore, our teams will also install a vehicle counting system and a two-way parking ramp management module to ensure greater traffic flow throughout the Centre.
