The Beatus-Rhenanus bridge illuminated

10.08.2017

Clemessy Strasbourg carried out the lighting and electrification of the Beatus-Rhenanus bridge, which was opened to traffic in April 2017, for the CTS (Strasbourg Transportation Company).

Measuring 290 m long and 16 m wide, it offers a multi-modal cross-border link: pedestrian and cycle paths as well as a tramway line.

The lighting consists of 350 bars each with 6 LEDs (0.8W) incorporated into the handrails.

Added to this is the bridge’s functional and decorative lighting installed under each stay cable by means of 58 custom-made boxes.
Each box is equipped with four 38W RGBW LED strips.

A DMX controller allows each strip to be controlled individually, therefore allowing an infinite number of possible scenarios to be programmed.

The basic lighting is white but can be customized for festive occasions or projected in the colours of the French, German, European or other flags.
